Spending Christmas and New Years in the Caribbean is amazing and I would recommend it to all my sun loving friends. However choosing the Sandals Halcyon to do so, not so much. It is not all doom and gloom, don’t get me wrong but when you spend money, there is an expectation of the quality and level of service. The way I review the hotels I visit, is in accordance to the price they charge, and their positioning on the market. So please do not think I am obnoxious, spoiled brat that does not appreciate the beauty of the Caribbean…

While I spent the month of Mayfair with The Athenaeum hotel, I had the chance to walk around my favourite neighbourhood and photograph everything I wanted. I have created a small guide to some of my personal favourite places (which are all a 15min walk maximum from the hotel by the way, should you decide to stay there). Mayfair is not only glitzy cars and bling, it has a lot of beautiful, historical places that are totally worth the wander. Shepherds market Mount Street Burlington Arcade Coach and Horses Sketch Fortnum and Mason Annabel’s Wild things flowers Claridges Liberty Bond…

I had the pleasure of staying at The Athenaeum Hotel over the month of November. I got to experience the rooms, suites and the beautiful residences (which stole my heart by the way). I wanted to share my experience with you, and also share some of my favourite Mayfair spots too. Location The Athenaeum is located perfectly. 5 min walk from Green Park and Hyde Park Corner stations, overlooking beautiful Green Park and Buckingham palace. Another 5 min in the opposite direction take you to one of my favourite places in London – Shepherds market. The Residences The Athenaeum offers…

I wanted to write a post about the times that it has not been OK, the past year. I spend most of my time looking for the beautiful angles of life, to share on here and my Instagram. However, the past year has been a lot of things but I will struggle to call it beautiful for me. Sharing this post now is important, as I know that many people struggle during the holiday season. Sitting and scrolling through people’s ‘perfect’ lives on social media does not help the feeling of loneliness, anxiety and fear. I just wanted to raise…

The season of being jolly has arrived but so has the rain and the cold. The weather conditions can make it difficult to enjoy the city walking around so here is a bit more of an ‘off the beaten path’ guide to a few of my favourite things to do on a rainy day. Science Museum Not off the beaten path but the less famous neighbour to the Natural History Museum, is one of my favourite getaways on a rainy day. Who doesn’t love a bit of a science moment. The reason I love this museum is its interactivity. I…

I found Only Hotel Atocha by accident. My usual hotel was fully booked and I looked around the area when I spotted it. It is one of my coolest Madrid finds so far. Very understated entrance, at the corner opposite the hustling and bustling Atocha station (the King’s Cross of Madrid). The moment you enter though, there is nothing understated about it. The decor in the lobby is industrial, funky and vibrant. There is music playing and also jars and jars of pick and mix candy for guests to enjoy while they mingle around reception. The staff was super friendly…

The animal lover in me squirmed with joy when I got to know that I am walking with alpacas, as part of the #GreatBritishSurprise campaign. I bloody LOVE alpacas. They are the softest being on earth, the cutest beings and also the most curious beings. I feel like I need to calm down my excitement to actually write this article. Let’s start from the beginning. Alpacaly ever after was born as an interesting idea between Terry and Emma, thinking what to do in their spare time. I completely agree with them – there is nothing better than raise a herd…

One of the most surprising destinations for me has been Ljubljana. I did not necessarily have an expectation to what it should be, however the only word to describe it is – magical. Going to Slovenia for a day and half as I did is merely not enough to admire this stunning country, however even with limited time try and give it a visit. Also, it is almost Christmas time, and if you are in a bit of wonder where to go and what to do, I would strongly recommend this beauty. It will also give you an opportunity to…

Why aye man, I made the trip up North and it was champion. OK, this is all I can handle from my new Northern dictionary. Joke aside, Newcastle and the Lake District – put those destinations on your must visit list in the UK, as they are both amazing. When I opened my #GreatBritishSurprise envelope and it said Newcastle and the Lake District, I was excited but at the same time I did not know what to expect from newcastle in particular. Given most of my information about the town was based on watching Geordie Shore back in the day,…

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and is a new discovery for me. Nestled as you may guess – in the Chelsea Harbour – it is a beauty. The location is private, quiet and a little bit more Monacco than London. With yachts slowly moving from side to side in the harbour, the Thames running right behind the hotel and what brings you back to London is the stunning view of the London Eye, and the City in the distance. The Penthouse suite The suite is absolutely gorgeous, floor to ceiling windows opening up to…
