Fabrique, Notting Hill
Are you into breakfast spots? I have recently discovered my passion for small cafes in the morning. I guess I never really had time to do this before but now taking a little break allows me to explore and share with you.
Fabrique is a really tiny bakery and cafe in Notting Hill. It originates from Sweden and is known for producing the best buns. It has now been brought to London, and I just had to try them. I woke up early, early 2 weeks ago and went on a little Insta walk before I headed to my coffee destination. It was suggested to me by the lovely Anna (IG @anna_rudo) whom I was meeting for breakfast.
I got a cardamon bun and a cappuccino. It took awhile until I decided which bun I wanted. I kind of wanted them all but the ‘my jeans aren’t zipping any more‘ situation would not have been helped by me trying every flavour.
I am absolutely in love with their buns. All are hand made in there by the lovely bakers. The texture and the flavours are divine, and I could have gotten one more.
It gets busy on the weekends, so if you want to secure a table by the window go early. The cafe is right on Portobello road, allowing for a stunning walk before all the tourists invade the market. I would advise you to go at 9-ish.
If you are not interested in sitting in and people watching, you can have whatever you want take away.
Fabrique is also famous, for their one of a kind, sourdough bread baked in a traditional oven. So, why not take some home with you as well, to continue the good day?
The location allows you to have your yum breakfast and then head out all energised to explore Notting Hill. I will see you there next time.
