I know summer has come to an end in London. However, I would like to do a little throwback to a summer night, celebrated with Cidrerie Stassen and Neverland.
Now, I do consider myself a Londoner (kind of at least) and for some reason I had never heard about Neverland. When the lovely guys from Cidrerie Stassen invited me for the launch of their luxury cider, I was very excited to check it out.
We have all read Peter Pan and at some point possibly even dreamt about Neverland and going to hang out with the kids and never grow up? I personally feel like adulating is not as per the advertisement and spending a night in Neverland sounded like a no brainer. Also, it is a real place, who knew. Neverland is located near by Putney Bridge and you enter through a beautiful beach entrance with hanging wisteria. I genuinely forgot I was in London for a split second.
Neverland is an open space transporting you to Miami maybe, or Venice beach? We were so lucky with the weather being sunny and warm and having the golden hour light. There are multi coloured beach huts, there is sand and there is the Thames. OK, you cannot swim, please do not swim. Long wooden tables, beautiful flower arrangements and just the colours of summer surround you.
This beautiful setting was complimented by the launch of Cidrerie Stassen’s 3 luxury ciders.
Cidrerie Stassen is a new premium range of ciders from Belgian craft cider producer Famille Stassen, owned by Heinken International.
Léon Stassen founded his Maison de Cidre in 1895 in the Aubel valley and four generations on, the craftsmen of Famille Stassen are still creating ciders made only from the most select apples and refined family recipes.
I am not picking favourites but one always has a personal favourite, don’t they? I loved the rose, I kind of spend most of my summer drinking that, as my summer drink of choice. It is light and fruity and it does feel like bubbles. The bottles are beautiful and make for a perfect picnic basket companion or a summer night cocktail. To be honest I can drink it any season, I will do an autumn post on it maybe with my favourite cocktails 🙂
I absolutely loved the fact that you can pair it with a selection of cheeses and it complimented the taste, absolutely no difference between having a glass of bubbly or that. The attention to detail in crafting the bottles, showcasing artisan craftsmanship, only enhances the beautiful tasting experience.
