Back in September I got to join my Instagram love @crazycatladyldn and go to a London bloggers’ picnic in Regent’s Park. it was organised by 2 other bloggers Fern and Lelainie, who thought it would be a great opportunity for us to get together, have a picnic and enjoy a day out. It is interesting as London’s blogging scene is vast and diverse. I always welcome opportunities to meet fellow bloggers or Instagrammers. We were super lucky with the weather and it was a glorious day. I am sharing this post, so you can use it as inspiration for next…

I had the opportunity to stay in Hotel Wellington Madrid in August. I am a sucker for hotels with a classic decor. It reminds of the days when travel was glamorous. Kind of that scene in Mad Men, where Don and Betty go to the Plaza in NYC and everything is just old Hollywood glam. Although, given that I worked in the hotel industry for some time, I should remind myself that times have changed and not everything that glitters is gold. I really do not want to bash hotels. However, I also value my money and if I am…

I am a sun lover and I suffer from sun allergy – talk to me about mixed feelings. I am writing this for my fellow travellers, who are affected by this condition but like me, still love the sun and are always looking for ideas on how to battle this. This article is about what works for me. I am not a licensed doctor (I wish I was), so please read this anecdotally and not as medical advice. Finding out you have sun allergy: The dreadful day I stayed at the beach all day and my skin went crazy bumpy,…

I know summer has come to an end in London. However, I would like to do a little throwback to a summer night, celebrated with Cidrerie Stassen and Neverland. Now, I do consider myself a Londoner (kind of at least) and for some reason I had never heard about Neverland. When the lovely guys from Cidrerie Stassen invited me for the launch of their luxury cider, I was very excited to check it out. We have all read Peter Pan and at some point possibly even dreamt about Neverland and going to hang out with the kids and never grow…

Have you tried the afternoon tea at Thomas’ yet? If not, drop what you are doing and head over because it is a-m-a-zing. Where to start? First, you can go through the main shop entrance or through Thomas’ own entrance. This is one big Burberry store, so I would say go through the store as it gives you this beautiful, grand feeling. This is going to be a very visual post, as I am genuinely in love with the lighting in this place – I finally know what true love is πŸ˜‰ Thomas’ is split into 2 levels and I…

In July I had a Saturday night to myself and my lovely friend Michelle (@crazycatladyldn) and we got treated to a a lovely dining experience in Tagine Balham. If you are into North African cuisine , keep reading, as the experience was nothing short of fantastic. On their website, Tagine Balham refer to ‘the art of sensual cuisine’. And sensual it was – the interior, the smell, the taste and the ambience were nothing short of a feast to the senses. Tagine Balaham is located within 2 minutes from Tooting Bec Common. We drove there though and had a little…

When June approaches, there is one thing in my head – lavender. Endless fields of purple dreams surround London, and this year I promised myself that I am going to spend at least a day in one. I am not particularly fond of the country living lifestyle, however there is something so beautiful when it comes to blooming fields. The Hop Shop Kent: The Hop Shop in Kent is a 50 minute drive from Central London and about 25 min on the train from Victoria. It is based on the grounds of a family run farm – Castle Farm, which…

I spent the day with Culture Trip a couple of weeks ago, exploring London in a localΒ way. Culture Trip has grown so much in the past years and is now the go to place online, should you want personalised recommendations for your destination. They showcase little known destination gems and I am going to take you on a day journey, giving you a glimpse of what you can be doing if you download the app, and be in the…

It has been a while since I was actually in Florence. This is one of the amazing perks of being a blogger – you can always mentally transport yourself back to a magical place by writing about it, editing the imagery and retracing your steps. The location Hotel Bernini Florence, accommodate us back at the end of May. Located in the heart of Florence, the hotel is a historic gem.Β A stone throwΒ from Galleria degli Uffizi and Piazza della Signoria and Via Tornabuoni is also just around the corner – for all the shopaholics out there. It does not have a…

I was honoured when I received an invite to preview the Masterpiece Art Fair 2017. Running since 2010, the fair has established itself as one of the must visit events in the art world. It combines classics with modern day works of art, like no other. It is visited by approximately 40,000 people every year, so you can imagine how excited I was to have private access for a morning, and admire beauty with just a few other select guests. This year, Masterpiece London takes place between 28 June andΒ 4 July, so you still have time to visit. It is…
