The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and is a new discovery for me. Nestled as you may guess – in the Chelsea Harbour – it is a beauty. The location is private, quiet and a little bit more Monacco than London. With yachts slowly moving from side to side in the harbour, the Thames running right behind the hotel and what brings you back to London is the stunning view of the London Eye, and the City in the distance. The Penthouse suite The suite is absolutely gorgeous, floor to ceiling windows opening up to…

Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa is located in the stunning Lake District, and more precisely the Borrowdale valley. Driving up to the hotel in the winding countryside routes, surrounded by greenery and the lake, is an experience of its own. On arrival, you are greeted warmly by the local team, making you feel at home straight away. There is something about countryside hotels – they feel more like a home, more cosy and kind of like you are entering a warm hug when you check in. The warmth of the staff in Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa, makes this experience…

I merely do not venture East often enough, so having the opportunity to do a quick staycation with Andaz London, Liverpool street was a welcome incentive. The Location The hotel is located right off Liverpool street station and is super convenient to access the city or central London. It is also super convenient to access one of my favourite places in the East – The bagel shop Beigel Bake (about that later on). Andaz Liverpool street is nestled in a red brick Victorian building and is one of the original Railway hotels, dating back to 1884. The interiors however are…

Soho House proudly opened its brand new hotel just last month. The new house is located in the heart of Amsterdam, in a beautifully repurposed 1930s university building , overlooking the Singel canal.  I was so lucky to get the opportunity to stay there 2 weeks after its official opening. A bit about Soho House – it is a private members club, which prides itself on privacy and tranquility. No photography is allowed, neither is talking on the phone – it may sound scary but in reality, it is all very zen. The room The entrance is private, with subtle…

I have been eyeing the country house hotel for some time now. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, Widbrook Grange is located in Bradford on Avon, a stone throw away from Bath. Driving from Central London takes about 2 hours, most of it is on a motor way but that is not the exciting part. The exciting part is driving around the winding roads of  the countryside. OK, I must add that I got the pleasure of doing this in a Morgan, so it added to the overall beauty of the experience. Widbrook Grange is slightly outside of the…

Here we go, I said it. Casa del Mar is seriously the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Stop looking if you are going to Santa Monica and just book it, you won’t regret it. That actually means something coming from me I feel. Having spent years working in hotels and traveling around, I think that I have a big enough base to compare. So far, this is my life choice and the place I would like to stay every time I go to LA. The location: Right off Santa Monica Pier and the beach. It is a 5…

West London is my jam and yet I just discovered this beautiful enclave in the heart of Knightsbridge – The Franklin Hotel. Nestled 5 min walk from Harrods, its private entrance ensures that you can disappear from prying eyes, the moment you step in. The hotel offers 35 bedrooms, split across 3 town houses. The back opens to a beautifully manicured private garden, where you can have your morning coffee. The check in area is unique. Gorgeous marble tables sit on both sides of the hallway and the receptionists just hang gout there with their brand new Macs, checking guests…

Ljubljana was an unplanned quick stop for me this winter. It has taken ages to write this post but I really wanted to share my experience about the town and my stay at Intercontinental as well. Because both were freakin fabulous and I absolutely loved Slovenian hospitality, the beautiful city and the yum food. Intercontinental Ljubljana is a 5 star luxury hotel just a l5 minute walk to the city centre and beautiful old town. Super modern rooms and facilities,  including a 360 degree view of the city from the pool on the 18th floor, it is a true gem.…

Hotel Esplanade Zagreb is right at the entrance of the city centre, perfect location. It is a representation of Eastern European luxury and glamour, and being Eastern European myself I obviously loved it. As I was doing a small central/Eastern European trip, I travelled from Budapest to Zagreb and although not a significant distance, boy do you get a different level of luxury for your buck. Unlike the Sofitel in Budapest, the Esplande Zagreb was stunning inside and out. Rich marble decor in the lobby (which might be a bit too shiny) but I felt it was delicately balanced by…

Sofitel Budapest was our home for Christmas in 2017. Driving up to the hotel in the taxi was indicative of the view but the moment I walked into the room – oh boy. It was stunning. I will recommend a stay in the hotel, purely to see the sunset from there. Check in was really smooth and friendly, the room was on the 5th floor. The hotel has a funky interior, it kind of feels like a mega hotel in Asia with the lined up doors and just the sheer size of it. The lifts give a cool view when…
