The Renaissance is a beautiful period and probably one of the richest in history when it comes to art and literature creation. The awakening. So it is only fitting that the hotel that chose Renaissance as their brand name, do not shy away from the beauty that period demands for. Some history The Renaissance hotel St. Pancras’s story begins in the 1860, when the Midland Railway decided it wants its own tracks and train station. The vision of George Gilbert Scott – the chosen architect, was to create a station that eclipsed all others, and I think even in 2019…

The Bedford in Balham, talk about surprise gems. When I got invited to visit The Bedford, I genuinely did not know what to expect. I had never been to Balham but I was curious. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Balham station, and is situated on top of The Bedford pub – a landmark in South London. What surprised me at first was how big the building actually is on the inside. You cannot judge that by the outside to be honest. There is a pub, there is a restaurant, there is a comedy bar, there are function rooms,…

I was invited to review Roslin beach hotel. I recently got to visit Southend on Sea and the beautiful Roslin Beach hotel. I have never been this side of the coast and I was so pleasantly surprised by how cute it is. The hotel is located right in the middle of the beautiful promenade of Southend on Sea, opening up to stunning sunrise and sunset views for its guests. Roslin Beach hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms have taken inspiration from the sea in their color scheme and details. Check in It was so flawless and personal.…

Spending Christmas and New Years in the Caribbean is amazing and I would recommend it to all my sun loving friends. However choosing the Sandals Halcyon to do so, not so much. It is not all doom and gloom, don’t get me wrong but when you spend money, there is an expectation of the quality and level of service. The way I review the hotels I visit, is in accordance to the price they charge, and their positioning on the market. So please do not think I am obnoxious, spoiled brat that does not appreciate the beauty of the Caribbean…

I had the pleasure of staying at The Athenaeum Hotel over the month of November. I got to experience the rooms, suites and the beautiful residences (which stole my heart by the way). I wanted to share my experience with you, and also share some of my favourite Mayfair spots too. Location The Athenaeum is located perfectly. 5 min walk from Green Park and Hyde Park Corner stations, overlooking beautiful Green Park and Buckingham palace. Another 5 min in the opposite direction take you to one of my favourite places in London – Shepherds market. The Residences The Athenaeum offers…

I found Only Hotel Atocha by accident. My usual hotel was fully booked and I looked around the area when I spotted it. It is one of my coolest Madrid finds so far. Very understated entrance, at the corner opposite the hustling and bustling Atocha station (the King’s Cross of Madrid). The moment you enter though, there is nothing understated about it. The decor in the lobby is industrial, funky and vibrant. There is music playing and also jars and jars of pick and mix candy for guests to enjoy while they mingle around reception. The staff was super friendly…

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and is a new discovery for me. Nestled as you may guess – in the Chelsea Harbour – it is a beauty. The location is private, quiet and a little bit more Monacco than London. With yachts slowly moving from side to side in the harbour, the Thames running right behind the hotel and what brings you back to London is the stunning view of the London Eye, and the City in the distance. The Penthouse suite The suite is absolutely gorgeous, floor to ceiling windows opening up to…

Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa is located in the stunning Lake District, and more precisely the Borrowdale valley. Driving up to the hotel in the winding countryside routes, surrounded by greenery and the lake, is an experience of its own. On arrival, you are greeted warmly by the local team, making you feel at home straight away. There is something about countryside hotels – they feel more like a home, more cosy and kind of like you are entering a warm hug when you check in. The warmth of the staff in Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa, makes this experience…

I merely do not venture East often enough, so having the opportunity to do a quick staycation with Andaz London, Liverpool street was a welcome incentive. The Location The hotel is located right off Liverpool street station and is super convenient to access the city or central London. It is also super convenient to access one of my favourite places in the East – The bagel shop Beigel Bake (about that later on). Andaz Liverpool street is nestled in a red brick Victorian building and is one of the original Railway hotels, dating back to 1884. The interiors however are…

Soho House proudly opened its brand new hotel just last month. The new house is located in the heart of Amsterdam, in a beautifully repurposed 1930s university building , overlooking the Singel canal.Β  I was so lucky to get the opportunity to stay there 2 weeks after its official opening. A bit about Soho House – it is a private members club, which prides itself on privacy and tranquility. No photography is allowed, neither is talking on the phone – it may sound scary but in reality, it is all very zen. The room The entrance is private, with subtle…
