Artist Residence is a 10 bedroom hotel nestled in the heart of Pimlico. The building of the hotel dates back to 1852 and was designed by Thomas Cubitt himself. The hotel is unique, the collection of carefully selected furniture and accessories make it a creative gem. It is easy to go into a creative black hole sometimes and finding places such as Artist Residence, gives me inspiration. I was just editing the images from the day I visited and although it is relatively late while I sit and write this, I feel more awake than before I played with the photos. The colour palette of the rooms in the hotel, the light and the way it plays with the furniture is just a creative’s dream.
OK, I will stop blabbering and start talking about more practical things you are actually interested to know about the hotel. The rooms are on the small side but worry not, there is a suit and a loft, which offer extra space. In all honesty, all London hotels are scarce on space, so Artist Residence fits right in the normal standards. However, what they have done with he interiors is much more worth the money compared to some more chain like hotels, across London (or some very questionable five stars I have visited).
Below is a tour of 3 of the rooms I visited, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The grand reveal is here, tadahhhh – the Suite.
And that was a wrap, check out Artist Residence and visit their website if you want to make a booking. Everyone deserves to get pampered right?
