While I spent the month of Mayfair with The Athenaeum hotel, I had the chance to walk around my favourite neighbourhood and photograph everything I wanted. I have created a small guide to some of my personal favourite places (which are all a 15min walk maximum from the hotel by the way, should you decide to stay there). Mayfair is not only glitzy cars and bling, it has a lot of beautiful, historical places that are totally worth the wander.
Shepherds market
The phone booth in the small courtyard is one of my favourite places to hang outI absolutely love this street (White Horse st) and it is such a shame that it is closed for reconstruction work at the moment It makes me feel like I am walking in a Dickens novelThe view from the back
Mount Street
Mount street – the less famous sibling to Bond street, full of shops and cafes and one of my favourite architecture styles in all of London
Burlington Arcade
Home to small luxury boutiques, as well as Laduree, this little area is a must visit. It provides so many opportunities for a cute snap
Coach and Horses
The smallest pub in London, but isn’t it also the cutest? This is my soft spot, I cannot stop photographing it, every time I pass byIn every season 😉
Sketch
It won’t be a tour without Sketch. The most artistic venue in all of London, and also the first original pink dream interior. The art changes but the beauty remains the same day after dayYASSS to hatching egg alien toilets
Fortnum and Mason
Wakey wakey, FortnumsFortnums always create the most magical window displays for Christmas However, it is a must snap place when you are visiting, in any season
Annabel’s
New kid on the block since last year, Annabel’s has gone display crazy – spring Christmas you name it – they are all out and it kind of works Just arm yourself with patience or go there super early as the queue for a snap is crazy
Wild things flowers
They are Insta famous, however this Halloween display has been my favourite one yet.
Claridges
You have to snap the most famous hotel in the area of course Right opposite Wild Things Flowers
Liberty
Liberty, always and forever It is so beautiful in any season and light, however I love it just at dawn
Bond street
Bond street and its displays around Christmas time is pure magic.
The Royal Arcade
Last but not least this beauty Beautifully decorated for ChristmasHowever, beautiful even without the decorations pass by my favourite Charbonnel and Walker and get some champagne truffles too
