I recently visited Toronto and one of my first stops on the list was Allan Gardens. I have had massive Instagram FOMO, following Toronto based Instagrammers and their snaps of this gem. It probably resembles the Sky Garden in London but it is quieter and more intimate.
The area in which Allan Gardens are located is what I would call up and coming. It is probably something like Brixton 6-7 years ago. The garden is more than a 100 years old and is open to the public, drum roll – free of charge. It is full of gorgeous tropical plants, turtles and gold fish. The colours are magical, it is relatively warm inside (but very humid) and not that many people.
I think I took so many pictures, I can never share them all. However, I hope you enjoy the visual journey around Allan Gardens.

The gardens are located in an actual park. I would say avoid Carlton and Parliament street (I think those were the exact streets), as they are rough. Get an Uber and go Downtown once you finish.
